Ground Effect Slush Fund Work Party 2015
Every year Ground Effect Clothing select one lucky community with a MTB trail thats needs some maintenance or a trail that needs to be built from scratch.
They bring a load of food and a small army of volunteer trail builders. I was lucky to be a part of the last work party for the Wharfedate track. The Oxford Forest lies a couple of hours north of Christchurch in the foothills of the Southern Alps. Ripe with beech forest singletrack, it has outrageously good mountain biking in a stunning location. The Wharfedale Track is an oldie but a goodie and requires some love, specifically to repair drainage close to the saddle.
