Together Avantiplus Richmond, Santa Cruz NZ and Shimano NZ went above and beyond with the build of this Stigmata gravel adventure bike.

Recently I had a blast touring the back roads and trails of the Nelson region. I was blown away by the versatility of the bike and how fun it was to ride whether on gravel roads or Kaiteriteri MTB Park single track.

The bike has a pretty burly build for a gravel bike with a mixture of XT wheels, ultegera drive chain and a combination of Dura ace brake levers and XTR Race callipers.

I am running a tubeless setup with Hutchinson tires override Veride 700 x .38, I was stoked with how well these tyres hooked up on a wide range of terrain from road to single track.

The brakes on this bike were phenomenal which fully maximised the capabilities of the bike. The full story of this trip will be published early next year.

On the weekend was the #Coppermine event, mint to follow around on the Coppermine Classic course and chill with the competitors a real rolling festival of wheels. Stopped at the top for an #coffee while the #SAR crew did an amazing job at keeping track of competitors and general safety. Actually, fun ripping UP the Dun climb on the #stigmata and some really #funny times on the descent, the lower dun beech forest section was so good on the #cx bike #flow. Been running the @hutchinsontires #override gravel tires on tubeless setup on @ShimanoNZ XT trail wheelset super impressed, was thinking before riding the Dun loop if I was going to get a flat it was going to be on this ride. #Noflats Even had some big hits on the rocky descent hitting the rim a few times. So good to be back in Nelson after an extended period away and back riding some new trails on a new bike.
